We work diligently to find cost-effective solutions that mitigate risk while providing our clients with the best drilling fluids solutions in the industry.

At UniqEnergy we have created a systematic approach to quantify our success and demonstrate our best in class performance. The objective of our approach is to assist clients in reducing their drilling fluids and solids control related costs while mitigating drilling risks and environmental impact, in a safe and healthy manner.

The main aspect of this program is the application of an engineered design based on research, risk analysis and planning followed by a thorough post project evaluation. The end result is integrated planning and awareness through the presentation of recommendations, optimized drilling fluid design, implementation of operational best practices and the mitigation of drilling events and NPT generators.

Offset Analysis – A comprehensive study of area and historic wells to identify benchmarks, possible NPT causes, and abnormal drilling occurrences allows us to gauge the effectiveness of drilling fluids and solids control equipment and make pertinent recommendations.

Program Development – Working with our technical, operational and sales groups to develop a program that is cost effective while providing adequate parameters to mitigate risk. Programs will include recommendations for further on-site optimization of the drilling fluids properties and solids control equipment.

Establish Inventory Management Procedure – This is primarily conducted around expectations set forth by the client. We will adapt our management and billing structure to meet the requirements of our client.

Establish KPI’s – Working with our client we will develop KPI’s to identify all potential problems and produce an overall strategy to raise consciousness to mitigate risk. KPI’s will pertain to all aspects of the project including, drilling fluid operation, inventory management, health, safety and the environment. These KPI’s need to be clearly identified and established with both our staff and our client thereby allowing us to gauge our effectiveness and validate our success.

Communicate Expectations – Once the KPI’s are established, we will have a meeting with our client to review all aspects of our operational plan. Client meetings are usually held as pre-spud meetings where we highlight all operational parameters, contingency plans, KPI’s and HSE expectations and requirements.

KPI Awareness – KPI’s are only effective if all parties are informed and involved. At this stage we will bring our objectives to the field level by introducing them to the field superintendents and mud engineers as well as the client’s company men. We need to make sure all parties involved understand our end goal and are willing to participate.

Daily Operations – UniqEnergy takes pride in the depth of our operational support. We have daily meetings to discuss all rig and project activity. Our operations are either communicated to the office via the mud engineer or the field superintendent. All operational matters are discussed with operational, technical and sales teams. We firmly believe that the more involvement throughout the entire organization the better the project will run and this is what sets us on a level above our competition.

KPI Measurement – KPI’s will be measured both in the office and at the field level. KPI measurement needs to be easy and effective with goals clearly identifiable and quantifiable. In the project pre-planning stage we make sure that all involved parties are aware of all project parameters.

KPI Evaluation – All metrics within our KPI program need to have a quantifiable result. The KPI evaluation will happen at the end of each day, well, pad and/or project according to the predetermined parameters. To implement a successful project UniqEnergy believes that all parties need to be conscious of the KPI’s at all times and we structure our evaluations accordingly.

End of Project Summary – We put great emphasis on this step in our operational approach. In order to demonstrate value and gauge success we need to sit down with the client and share the results. Both operational results and KPI Evaluations will be thoroughly discussed. This allows us to produce a benchmark for future projects and prepare “handover notes” for future service providers.

Lessons Learned – At UniqEnergy we believe this is one of the most powerful things we can offer. As a project evolves so should the drilling fluid and the process. We are driven to reduce overall well cost and increase efficiency and this is the stage in which we can present our findings.

Recommendations – No project is perfect, this stage allows us to make recommendations, whether it’s on a process enhancement or a new product, this stage allows us to think outside the box with our clients and create custom solutions to increase efficiency and lower cost.

KPI Adjustments – At UniqEnergy we believe in continual improvement and this stage allows us to focus our goals and demand a better benchmark. By adjusting our KPI’s we keep ourselves honest as a service company and give our clients realistic expectations.

Program Modification – At UniqEnergy the job isn’t over once the last product is mixed. Due to the break up in drilling activity we believe in adjusting the program at the end of each drilling project. This allows operators to have a starting point for next years’ drilling program.
